The ECU box needs to be mounted somewhere cool, dry, and somewhat isolated from vibration. The massive wiring bundle does not leave a lot of slack, so finding the best place to mount it is pretty easy – the only place available.
I drilled some holes in the case to install some rubber lord mounts. I really didn’t like the idea of cutting holes in the steel case, but after several hours of playing around, this was the best solution I could find.

Here are the bits of angle I used to attach the ECU to the airframe. The angle will be useful to attach the other loose parts.

Here is the inside of the ECU case. I put two layers of tape on there in case the nut comes off the bolt. I don’t want it shorting out on the ECU circuit board.

The ECU mounted in the lower forward baggage area. It’s a shame I had to sacrifice this baggage space, but I didn’t have a lot of choice. This is literally the only place this engine computer could be installed, unless I wanted to re-do the entire engine harness. No thanks!

The tumble generator assembly is bolted to the angle. I bought a longer M6 bolt and put a lock nut on the other end to secure it to the angle.

Here you can see I attached the O2 relay and the unused boost controller to the angle with a bolt, the throttle relay with an adel clamp (cushion clamp), and I used a zip tie on the unused “blowby detector”. The only useful things here are the two relays. The other stuff is just to trick the ECU into not generating an error code.

Here’s how it looks after the wires have been tamed a bit. There is more work to be done, since I’ve also got to get all the sensor wires over there, too.
