I’ve got one cylinder that has low EGT at idle, and one possible cause is a clogged injector or low flow to the cylinder at idle. I checked the flow as recommended by Airflow Performance, and found that it was low on this cylinder.Took it all apart, and this “spool valve” and “diaphragm” was kind of stuck – no idea if this is good or bad, but after removing, and cleaning everything really well, it moved smoothly. I could not find any crud, dirt, or anything in there that could have reduced the flow. It could be that I removed it without realizing it.Same test after cleaning shows much more even flow into the cups, so this must be better. Let’s see after I get some decent weather to test it.Here’s what triggered me to look into this – you can see one cylinder has very low EGT at idle, but comes back during higher fuel flow, as shown here when I take off.
