The wiring is almost complete, so I wanted to get just a couple of pictures of the details.
Below you can see examples of a butt splice with a metal collar crimped to a resistor and a butt splice with a solder sleeve.
I find that holding the solder sleeve and the heat gun is not easy, so I like to use these HF holders. If you are smart, you’ll buy a really good holder. This one is ok but lacks a bit of mass.
I also showed the technique for soldering to the autopilot disconnect button. Same for the warning lights. They need to be soldered and then protected with shrink tubing.
