I got my canopy rails anodized. Most RVs I have seen don’t bother anodizing or painting these, but the ones I have seen painted seemed to have a lot of chips and wear. I thought anodizing would be cool, and rugged.

I live in an area where there is a lot of micro-technique work done, like small motors and watches. There are a couple of shops that anodize stuff, but only one that can handle parts that are longer than one meter, like the canopy rails. Unfortunately, they only have one vat for this size, and the color of the dye in there is black. Not a big deal, but…
