29 Feb 2004 Drilling pushrods
The pushrod ends need drilling to attach the necessary hardware. Here are a couple of pictures that show the drilling of the big fat elevator pushrod that goes in the rear. Can’t recall F-number right now. Used my super-cheapo Chinese drill press, and it kind of worked. Believe it or not, the vise that I am using to hold the pushrod cost more than the drill press. I guess the little vise was made in a country that still pays people a living wage, like Germany. Oh well!
Van’s recommends getting a stiff piece of paper and marking the locations on it, and wrapping it around the pushrod. I just eyeballed it, and got is pretty close, don’t you think?
